Memorial to Merle Ganier

These beautiful hardwood magazine displays sit in the Genealogy and Local History Department in the Central Library in Downtown Fort Worth, Texas. They were purchased by FWGS to stand in honor of Merle Ganier, a long time and ever active contributing member of our society. Merle remembered us in her will, leaving $1,000 to use as we saw fit. We chose to use this gift to buy these racks which will benefit all researchers and help us to remember her always.

Supported by your membership dues, FWGS exchanges Footprints with over 100 other societies coast to coast. The most current issues of the quarterlies that we receive through this program are displayed here for your reading pleasure. Here, you will also find many other journals that the Library subscribes to directly. In most cases, when all four issues are received in a given publication volume, they are sent out to be hard bound and then placed in the stacks. If you would like to see earlier issues that are not yet bound, just ask the library staff for assistance.
